During his military service as an RAF fighter jet navigator, Harry has always traced close to the edge of what’s possible. Scarred knees. Bumps to the head. Too many scars to name on his face. Adventure wasn’t a phase, it was how he grew up and learned, it’s a passion that has fuelled his adult life and career.
That fearless energy shaped everything that came next. Years of service in the military gave Harry the resilience, perspective, and purpose that now fuel every part of VALR. It also gave him a deep respect for those who didn’t make it home, the fallen. VALR from the Old Norse word meaning “the fallen,” is a tribute to them. But it’s also a rallying cry for the living, for those ready to ride, to push their limits and to feel unknown roads under their wheels.
What started as a personal passion project has grown into a brand built for anyone ready to explore, whether it’s a first camping trip to the coast or a multi-country expedition. Under Harry’s leadership, VALR creates custom plans, adventure-tested gear, and honest no-nonsense training to help beginners and seasoned riders alike.
Harry first discovered adventure motorcycling while deployed in war-torn regions, navigating terrain most people wouldn’t dream of riding.
Back in civilian life, he realised how many people shared his fascination with two-wheeled freedom but didn’t know where to start. That’s where VALR began.
